Sketch - Female Face
I was following a tutorial on youtube on how to sketch a human face.
I followed the instruction till it made sense, and then just scribbled some from my own imagination.

I think I can improve upon the size of the eyes a bit, lips always have a room for improvement, also the shading and hair need some more patience.

Sketch - The Eye
A sketchbook was gifted to me a long time back, but I never used it. Then it was re-gifted to me on my birthday with a full-page happy birthday art and an ultimatum to use it. So, I finally got around to it and made something, though its inspired from somewhere :)

Painting - Dream Catcher
Lack of paintings is mostly lack of inspiration to make one. This time sitting with someone painting a dream catcher made me do it myself. Though I could have put more thought into this and made the colour clouds more accurately, but how do I care :)

Logo Designing : TheaterFest 2012-13
TheatreFest. I have much love for this event, as I have iterated in my earlier post also. They held a competition to design a logo which they were missing for a long time now. I brainstormed on ideas during a class and came up with some sketches. I was too late in finalising and digitising any design and couldnt submit them as entries.

Following are 2 of the designs that I finalised.

Typhotography - Portrait
This is a month old photograph, was waiting to be edited.
When I took this up and applied some basic editing, the grey background in photoshop was looking so good with this that I put it in the image only. It starget to give a feel of classic clothing AD in a magazine/newspaper. [...]

Dry Pastels - Underwater
Tried the dry pastels as a medium for the first time. I really love how you can smooth out and create gradients post the application of colours on the paper.
Medium : Dry Pastels (almost like Chalk, only a little finer and smother)
Things to Notice : transparent/white jellyfishes, grey shark gradient.

Typography - Chalk on Pavement
For a long time I wanted to create a vintage kind of typography. What better than do it on the roads in full view. There is something about creating the font with your hands in your own style that made whole of this process highly enjoyable.

Painting - Sounds of Solitude

Water colours is a medium that lets you blur out everything that is not in focus so well. I am amazed at times when the colours go around in the water and create soft gradients and smudges.

Solitude, something that i have started to enjoy.

Paper Quilling

My first try at another form of art. Attended a workshop at Kaladarshan and found it pretty amusing. Its slow and easy and has limited things you can do unless you are willing to go completely off the track. Its kinda like knitting.

If you have a nifty hand and extreme amounts of free time you might wanna try this.
